The assessment sittings:
· When the observer is looking to record children progress, they look for a real out comes that is considered important for the child development.
· The teacher should gather the data and the result in any typical day at school . Both the children and the teachers should be in comfortable sittings that allow them to act normally.
· The observer should maintain accurate information that represents the children as group and represents each individual (" child assessment," n.d., para.1) .
The Advantages of Authentic Assessment:
1. Teachers use the assessment to see the child progress and to evaluate the strategies that have been used in past.
2. Many teachers prefer the Authentic assessment because it provides them with narrative information about children, and immediately do the possible improvements. However, Traditional test such as multi choice answer would give data about the children as group not as individual, and might take time to process the result.
3. Authentic assessment aids teachers to plane new methods that could advance the quality of their teaching (" child assessment," n.d., para.2).

What COR?
The Preschool Child Observation Record (COR) is an observation-based instrument that evaluates children’s knowledge skills in all area of development.
COR can be used in any educational program not just the High Scope. The model can evaluate children from infancy until 6 years.
What does COR assess:
The preschool COR have two instruments. The first one is for children from six weeks to three years, and the second one is to assess children from two and half until six years. COR is great scale that considers the individual differences. Both instruments overlap the ages to give the child the chance to develop in his own pace.
These kinds of instruments are very beneficial to for schools with the special needs students.
The COR is organized into six broad categories of child development. Within each category is a list of observation items. Each item represents a millstone. On Pre-school’s observational note there are six categories and 34 items ( "preschool COR," n.d., para.1).
How the Teacher Gathers the data?
The observer assembles the information about the children’s’ developments by taking notes for several sessions. Every day the teacher monitor the child for short time, and then write about the child using printed format called COR anecdotes. COR an anecdote is the form used to analyze the child new learned knowledge and skills ( "preschool COR," n.d., para.2).
